Behind Crimson Eyesis an emocore/pop-punk band hailing from Melbourne, Australia, formed in January 2004. Thus far they have released a demo, soon followed by the Pavour Nocturnus EP/Demo on Boomtown Records. Their music can be said to be along the lines of bands like Taking Back Sunday, Finch, and The Used. The band quotes a variety of influences ranging from Story of the Year and Matchbook Romance, to From Autumn to Ashes.
Behind Crimson Eyes have supported some great international acts for example New Found Glory, MxPx, Midtown, Pulley and Alexisonfire, but as they accomplished that, they were soon moving up the ranks by playing classic gigs across three states which included a number of fantastic aussie bands that included 28 Days, Bodyjar, Gyroscope, Blueline Medic, Parkway Drive, One Dollar Short, The Hot Lies, Something With Numbers and Area 7. But if that didn't astound you enough reaching number 2 on the overall MP3.com.au charts, and number 1 for both alternative and rock charts for the month of October, November, December, January and early February surely turned a lot of heads.
The band released their second EP "Prologue : The Art Of War / Cherry Blossom Epitaph" in March 2006.
The band's first full length, "A Revelation for Despair", was released 18th November 2006.
