Mnemic is a 5 piece band from Aalborg, Denmark. The band's name is an acronym that stands for "Mainly Neurotic Energy Modifying Instant Creation". Their music style draws on elements of Swedish melodic death metal and industrial metal, to form a style the band themselves have described as 'Future Fusion Metal'. The band's work to date fuses thrash riffs, powerful drumming and synthesised melody to vocals and lyrics focused on the reaches of the human psyche to create a frenetic, heavy yet spacey sound. The band's first two releases, Mechanical Spin Phenomena and The Audio Injected Soul featured Michael Bøgballe on vocals, who has since left the group due to family commitments. He was replaced by ex-Transport League frontman, Tony Jelencovich, who left in April 2006, having completed two US tours but no recordings. In March 2006 the band announced that Guillaume Bideau, of French metal band Scarve, would fill the vocals berth. The band worked in Los Angeles on their third record Passenger, with Warren Richer and Christian Olde Wolbers of Fear Factory. Work began in June 2006, and 'Passenger' was released in the U.S. on Febuary 6th, 2007 on Nuclear Blast Records. The album featured guest vocals by Jeff Walker of Carcass and Shane Embury of Napalm Death. The song Meaningless was the first single off the new album. Mnemic's recent tours in support of 'Passenger' include support for Soilwork in Fall 2006, support for God Forbid's "Chains of Humanity" tour in Spring 2007, and support for the Deftones in Spring 2007 in the UK. They also headlined the Mechanical Massacre '07 tour in Europe with support from Nightrage and Slowmotion Apocalypse. For the rest of 2007, Mnemic have planned two headlining tours in the UK and Portugal; an opening gig for Metallica in Aarhus, Denmark; and headlining the Danish Headbanger's Ball in September, with support from As We Fight and The Psyke Project and a special guest appearance by Sick of It All.

Appearing amid the fertile post-hardcore scene of the 2000s, the Las Vegas quintet Escape the Fate prided itself, above all else, on an energetic and visceral live show. Ronnie (vocals) and Max (bass) were looking for new bandmembers after their prior group abruptly fell apart. In a popular strip club, they soon found guitarist Bryan, who subsequently brought in Vegas transplant and guitarist Omar (ex-Lovehatehero). Friend and drummer Robert joined on to complete the group. Debuting live barely a month later, the guys found early success on local radio and quickly amassed a devoted hometown following. By September 2005, they had won a local radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance, which awarded them the opportunity to open a show on the band's current headlining tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect. Next thing they knew, Escape the Fate were inking a deal with Epitaph. Their debut five-song EP, There's No Sympathy for the Dead, appeared in May 2006. Tour dates through the summer followed. Escape the Fate's first full-length; Dying Is Your Latest Fashion was released 26th of September 2006. As of September 12, 2006 Ronnie Radke left the band for personal reasons and following some initial auditions on their myspace page, Ronnie returned. The band was recently on the 2007 Epitaph Tour in the Spring, with fellow Epitaph Records bands The Matches, I Am Ghost, and The Higher. Rise Against is a melodic hardcore band from Chicago, Illinois, USA. Formed in 1999, and originally performing under the name Transistor Revolt, they released a self-produced demo entitled Transistor Revolt in 2000, a year before signing with Fat Wreck Chords to release their first two albums, The Unraveling, and Revolutions Per Minute in 2001 and 2003. They later switched to Dreamworks Records and recorded their album Siren Song of the Counter Culture. However, Dreamworks Records got taken over by the Universal Music Group and Rise Against finally found themselves on Geffen Records, a Universal Music Group subsidiary, releasing Siren Song of the Counter Culture in August 2004. A re-issued version of The Unraveling was released on August 23, 2005 through Fat Wreck Chords. Their 4th studio album entitled "The Sufferer and The Witness" was released on July 4th 2006. Rise Against's original lineup consisted of Tim McIlrath (vocals and guitar), Joe Principe (bass and vocals), Brandon Barnes (drums), and Mr. Precision (guitar and vocals), and recorded its debut album with renowned punk producer Mass Giorgini. Mr. Precision left the band in 2001 and was replaced by Todd Mohney. Shortly after the band signed with Geffen, Mohney left and was replaced by Chris Chasse. After the release of their senior album, Chasse was kicked out of the band due to personal differences (he is now in a band Last of the Believers; in his place now stands Zach Blair of Only Crime. According to a statement by McIlraith, "Yes, the Rise Against curse continues..." Various musical influences are apparent in their songs on Siren Song of the Counter Culture. The opening song, "State of the Union", is comparable to classic hardcore. As an introductory song, it is supposed to make the listener wake up. "To Them These Streets Belong" and "The First Drop" are more typical of the genre traditional punk in the style of Pennywise. Most of their lyrics include a political message of some sort. The aforementioned "Swing Life Away" is slow-paced song, originally recorded for the Punk Goes Acoustic compilation album. Some members of Rise Against are straight edge and all are vegetarian. They have toured recently with Bad Religion and My Chemical Romance and have made several tours around the US and Europe.

Drop Dead, Gorgeous is a six-member post-hardcore band from Denver, Colorado. They released their first EP entitled Be Mine, Valentine in January 2006, followed by their first full length album in May 2006, In Vogue. They could only tour for 3 months across the U.S. and through Canada a year due to the fact that their members hadn't graduated high school yet. News also broke out on October 20th, 2006, on Rise Records' website, that they recently signed to Geffen/Suretone Records.
